LIGHT GAUGE STEEL FRAMING

Light Gauge Framing System (LGFS) or Light gauge Steel framing (LGSF) is a unique and advanced construction technology, in which cold-formed steel is applied as a construction component.

They can be a great alternative for the usual RCC/traditional buildings and their exterior view is same as the RCC buildings once the erection is completed.

They can be used as primary structures and secondary structures. For example, when they are used webbed steel trusses, they fall in the category of primary structures and when they provide lateral support to the exterior wall finishes, they fall in the category of secondary structures.

We can use this system for different construction elements such as roofs, floors, external walls, internal walls, roof panels, decks, or the entire buildings.

We can use them as individual framing members such as studs, joists, headers, and truss members. These are used as the support for the boards and materials used to enclose the framing.

Advantages

  • The structural strength ensures safety, security, durability & endurance to every kind of weather & climate.
  • The Light Gauge Steel Framing system provide the features of anti-corrosiveness & low upkeep costs.
  • The foundations and buildings built with these systems have negligible chances of getting effected due to natural calamities like earthquake.
  • The steel frames are uniform in size which makes it easy to align them in any kind of structures.
  • There is an adequate quality control over these frames with the result that they hardly show any signs of distortion or fragmentation.
  • The material used in LGFS is reusable and hence ecologically sustainable and friendly.
  • It is easy to expand and shift them to different locations. The design offered by this system is supremely flexible as the spanning can be done for greater lengths, which helps in better moulding & smooth designs.
  • They combine the features of less weight with better strength. So, the construction cost is reduced, as the quantity of raw material gets greatly reduced.
  • It is very easy to carry, handle & transport them. They are built in such a manner that even unskilled or semi-skilled labour can also handle the assembling very easily.
  • Necessary holes for electrical and other purposes already exist, which result in diminished time for the service personnel such as plumbers & electricians to work on them.
